Ammolite stones are created through a natural happenstance of fossilised shells that once belonged to prehistoric ammonite molluscs, and can only be found within a 10sq km range of the Bearpaw Formation in Alberta, Canada.
From the depths of the ocean, the unparalleled beauty of this gemstone can be admired through its brilliant colours and its impressive age of more than 70 million years. No two pieces are alike, and only less than 5% of these fossils are preserved well enough to go through the refining process to eventually be turned into jewellery.

Kaimirra Tutan’s current collections are mostly inspired by ancient Egyptian trademarks, namely, the Giza collection, which is based on the Pyramids of Giza, and the Yillina collection, which pays an exquisite tribute to the Egyptian scarab beetle. This offers a clear connection and a salutation to the name, Ammolite, deriving from the ancient Egyptian deity, Ammon, who was always depicted with the curling horns of a ram.
